Mail truck catches fire in Little Hocking, OH

LITTLE HOCKING — A mail delivery truck caught fire Friday shortly before noon on Dugan Road near Millbranch Road in Belpre Township, according to Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mike Chevalier.

The driver was not injured but the U.S. Postal Service vehicle was a total loss, he said. The vehicle, which contained mail, had quit running and the driver had exited the vehicle before the fire broke out.

The volunteer fire department dispatched two trucks to the scene and directed traffic for half an hour, Chevalier said.
