Bibb County Deputies arrest Macon man who stole a postal service vehicle

MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday that an arrest had been made in connection with a stolen postal service vehicle investigation.

An investigation began just after 5:30 a.m., at the United States Postal Service on Hardeman Avenue.

Deputies responded to the scene, where a 2022 Hino 258, utilized for postal services, was taken from the parking lot.

Deputies tracked down the vehicle, locating it in the 5500 block of Thomaston Road, and located a suspect linked to the stolen vehicle, who was seen walking away on foot.

The suspect was 38-year-old Brain Latrell Colbert, a resident of Macon. Colbert was arrested, and had the keys to the vehicle in his possession.
