A woman died after being found unresponsive inside an Amazon delivery van in Lake County, Fla., on Monday, Aug. 10.
The woman, who has not been publicly identified, was found unresponsive by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) deputies around 7:22 p.m. on Aug. 10, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
Authorities responded to the scene after a neighbor reported suspicious activity, saying the van had been outside their home for four hours, WESH 2 reported.
“I’m just looking to report a wellness check, I guess? Or to report an abandoned vehicle,” the neighbor said in the non-emergency call, according to the outlet.
When Lake County Fire Rescue and EMS arrived, they tried to perform life-saving measures before transporting her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, LCSO said in a statement.
