A Stratford woman has dropped her $2 million lawsuit against the U.S. Postal Service, filed after she was struck by a mail carrier while walking along a road in 2024, court papers said.
The woman’s attorney, Garrett Michael Moore Jr., filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in the suit on Thursday. It noted the dismissal was made “without prejudice against the Defendants.”
The woman, Pamela Meistrich, filed the suit in November in federal court in Connecticut. It named the government and USPS as defendants. The complaint sought damages “in excess of” $2 million, “economic damages,” legal fees and other relief from the court.
The USPS did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment. Meistrich’s attorney also did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
