USPS van catches fire at Morgantown Motel

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — A United States Postal Service van caught fire in Morgantown on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a response from multiple fire crews.

Details are limited, but according to officials with the Monongalia County 911 Center, at about 4:50 p.m., crews were alerted to a vehicle fire at the Morgantown Motel off Smithtown Road—photos of the fire submitted to 12 News show that a full-size van was fully engulfed.

A few hours after the fire, 12 News obtained viewer-submitted video of the incident showed that the van was owned by the United States Postal Service.
