USPS delivers two weeks’ worth of mail to Monrovia neighborhood after news report

MONROVIA, Ala. (WAFF) – After WAFF 48 News reported about the mail issues a Monrovia neighborhood was experiencing, the post offices stepped up.

As reported to us by residents of the neighborhood, they had not received their mail for nearly two weeks.

When the report ran, USPS came through the neighborhood, but it was only junk mail, not potentially important documents and bills that some residents had been expecting.

On Thursday morning, the day after WAFF 48 News Reporter Faith Delp spoke to residents about the issues, USPS delivered all of the mail from the last two weeks.

The resident stated that another truck was also passing through the neighborhood with additional delayed mail.

WAFF 48 News Reporter Faith Delp has reached out to USPS for comment. At this time of publication, there has been no response.
