Unruly customer tased after punching cop at Wenatchee post office

WENATCHEE – 29-year-old Christian Nyanfore of Wenatchee allegedly assaulted a police officer at the Wenatchee post office on Tuesday. At around 3:11 p.m., police responded to a disturbance call from postal building.

Police arrived to find Nyanfore refusing to leave after he was asked to vacate the premises by postal staff. Police say Nyanfore was angry about a mailed check that hadn’t shown up to the post office and was demanding staff that they find it.

Police asked Nyanfore to leave, but he reportedly took a fighting stance. As police attempted to detain Nyanfore, he punched a police officer in the head and was subsequently tased. Nyanfore was arrested and jailed for third-degree assault, resisting arrest and criminal trespass.
