MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Crews in Montgomery County worked to put out a fire that destroyed a mail delivery truck on Thursday morning.
Pete Piringer, a spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), said officials were in the 20300 block of Butter Wick Way at around 11 a.m.
There, a United States Postal Service vehicle had caught fire. Piringer said the blaze seemed to originate in the engine compartment area.
By 12:20 p.m., the fire had been put out and no one was hurt.
The truck was significantly damaged.
