Two separate lewd incidents alleged by female postal worker in Bennington

BENNINGTON — Two individuals were scheduled to be arraigned Monday on two separate incidents of lewd and lascivious conduct, allegedly perpetrated against a female postal worker from the Bennington Post Office.

Both incidents happened within 10 days of each other back in early May.

Victor Rolando, 93, is charged with one count of felony lewd and lascivious conduct from an alleged May 1 incident. He faces a possible five-year prison sentence if found guilty.

According to a police affidavit, a US Postal Service supervisor reported an incident back in March involving Rolando and one of his female postal carriers. Rolando allegedly masturbated in a window from his apartment on Park Street in Bennington as the carrier delivered mail to his residence. When police questioned Rolando the next day, he told them he did not do as reported “because he is 93 and doesn’t do that.” He told police he would be more aware of his behavior around the mail carrier.
