STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Community members and local politicians gathered outside the Manor Road Post Office in Castleton Corners to discuss concerns about the removal of drive-through mailboxes at the heavily frequented post office.
To respond to mail theft, vandalizations and check fraud incidents, the Manor Road Post Office removed their drive-through mailboxes, causing a stir among community members. Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11), Borough President Vito Fossella and Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo joined members of the National Association of Letter Carriers to address the situation at a press conference on Friday.
