The state of California has dropped charges and the judge dismissed the case against Richard Tillman in the July 20 crash and fire at a San Jose post office.

Tillman still faces federal charges.

The younger brother of former NFL star and Army hero Pat Tillman, is accused of crashing a vehicle filled with flammable logs into the Almaden Valley post office in South San Jose and setting the building ablaze.

Tillman, 40, faced state charges of arson, possession of combustible material and vandalism, according to court documents. He allegedly bought Insta-logs to make his car an incendiary device, the documents said.
