Samsara Wins Challenge to Geotab’s USPS Tracking Device Contract

Samsara Inc. convinced the US Court of Federal Claims to halt Geotab USA Inc.’s performance of a telematic-fleet tracking device contract for the US Postal Service.

The agency must re-evaluate Samsara’s proposal, conduct a new best value trade-off determination, and a make a new award decision if necessary, the court’s Friday judgment says.

Samsara filed its protest March 13. The 10-year contract is worth more than $300 million, Samsara’s complaint says.

According to the docket, the court granted Samsara’s motion for judgment on the administrative record Thursday. Judge Thompson M. Dietz’s opinion is under seal.
