The Nebraska State Postal Workers Union & Auxiliary met this past weekend at Divots Conference Center in Norfolk for their 53rd annual convention.
The auxiliary works in conjunction with the union and raises money and donations for many organizations. The major project for the auxiliary every year at the convention is to bring books, stuffed animals and food donations to help out organizations in that town.
The organizations received 101 stuffed animals and 131 books. The Good Neighbors received a display of food and checks that amounted to $1,400.
Elections also were held at the convention, with Bonnie Kroeger being elected to serve another two-year term as secretary of the state auxiliary.
