Official notification of the S&DCs initiative from UPMA

Since May, UPMA has been discussing with the Postal Service to answer the many questions we have about the impact on service and Postmaster jobs with this part of the DFA plan. Unfortunately, there are few answers, and UPMA is very concerned about the implementation going forward.

Cyberattacks targeting the critical infrastructure are increasing in frequency and sophistication, making a well-defined, proactive cybersecurity approach critical.

USPS OIG – Understanding Poor Plant Performance

The U.S. Postal Service has approximately 300 mail processing facilities. Some of these facilities perform better than others, some perform worse, and some struggle to reach even average performance. Our auditors examined 10 historically low performing facilities to find out why.

NPMHU – Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) set at $2,455

Effective August 27, 2022, all career Mail Handler craft employees are scheduled to receive a cost-of-living (COLA) adjustment as outlined in Article 9.3 of the 2019 National Agreement. This is the last of six possible COLA increases under the terms of the current agreement.

APWU – Second COLA Increase Announced

In accordance with the 2021-2024 Collective Bar­gaining Agreement, career employees represented by the APWU will receive a $1.18 per hour cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), effective August 27, 2022.
