Man shot while driving postal vehicle in Rochester NY

Rochester, N.Y. — Rochester police are investigating after a postal worker was shot while operating his vehicle near downtown.

Police said officers responded to the post office on Cumberland Avenue for a report of a male who had been shot.

Officers located a 58-year-old man with an upper-body injury.

He was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

After investigating, police determined the shooting happened near Canal Street and West Main Street while the victim was operating his postal vehicle.

No suspects are in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
