Investigation underway after mail stolen in overnight burglary at post office in Clinton

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is investigating a burglary at a post office in Clinton.

According to postal inspectors, the incident took place overnight sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Officials said that a preliminary investigation showed mail and parcels were stolen from the location. The USPIS is working to confirm the number of items that were stolen and is working to contact any victims who may have been affected.

They said they’re working on several leads and hope to provide an update with more information when it’s able to be released.
