Hit-and-run driver wanted after head-on crash with mail truck

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Deputies in Kanawha County need your help finding a hit-and-run driver who collided head-on with a United States Postal Service mail truck.

The incident happened Wednesday at 12282 Coal River Road in St. Albans, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said the suspect vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was reportedly smoking after the crash.

The vehicle is described as an older model red Subaru Outback.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office requests any information from the public about the location or owner of the Subaru Outback.
