Fort Atkinson postmaster recognized for service to Army Reserve employee

FORT ATKINSON — Fort Atkinson Postmaster Robert Murray has been presented with the Patriot Award, for extraordinary support of an employee serving in the U.S. Army Reserves.

The award was announced by Colonel (Ret) Michael Williams, ESGR State Chair Emeritus of the Wisconsin Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee (ESGR).

The presentation took place at the U.S. Post Office in Fort Atkinson, WI on Nov. 6.

“Mr. Murray was nominated for this prestigious national award by his employee, SFC Nicholas Habeck, who is a member of the Army Reserves and is assigned to the 646th Regional Support Group, Madison, Wisconsin,” Col. Williams said in a release.

The Patriot Award is presented to employers who hire National Guard and Reserve members and demonstrate superior support to the military employee and their family.
