ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAW) - The United States Postal Service has notified the village of Rothschild it’s moving forward with a plan to accommodate a fleet of EVs.

On the afternoon of July 31, 2021, Dawley was at his home on Ridgeway Avenue when he heard the cries for help from Rowland. She was being attacked by two dogs that had burst through the screen door of their house. Dawley said he ran to help Rowland, hurried her away and got her to his house to wait for EMS.

When children take the mail directly from the letter carriers, USPS states that “the dog may view the carrier as a threat to the child.” This could lead them to attack the letter carrier, USPS claims.

Post Offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in observance of Juneteenth. There will be no mail delivery, caller service or Post Office Box service. All services will resume on Thursday, June 20. The Post Office will be open regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, June 18.
