Jan 13 (Reuters) - A federal judge in Florida on Friday ruled that a U.S. law that bars people from possessing firearms in post offices is unconstitutional, citing a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling from 2022 that expanded gun rights.

The average time for the Postal Service to deliver a mailpiece or package across the nation was 2.8 days from Jan. 1-5, which marked the beginning of fiscal year 2024’s second quarter.

The current state of the business relationship between Memphis-based freight transportation and logistics services provider FedEx and the United States Postal Service (USPS) received a fair amount of attention on the former’s fiscal second quarter earnings call late last year.
