Where and when did this happen?

Firefighters told Local 4 that the discovery was made Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at a United States Postal Service facility in Allen Park.

The facility in question is the USPS Detroit Network Distribution Center. It’s a large mail processing facility with many large machines.

The man was a maintenance worker in his 30s.

How was the man found?

Firefighters said they went to the facility after the maintenance worker’s fiancé called authorities to report that he hadn’t returned home after his shift.

The man’s fiancé told Local 4 that she didn’t call. She said she went to the facility and stood outside for hours before she got any help.

Firefighters went to the facility and found the man’s body stuck in the mail handling machine, they said.
