USPS makes major updates to its services: What to expect with mail in the coming months

Many major businesses are gearing up for the busiest time of year — including the United States Postal Service.

“With the goal of realigning the national postal network to meet the mailing and shipping needs of modern consumers,” the USPS said it’s invested nearly $20 billion in its facilities over the past four years.

The USPS announced plans to continue taking steps toward that goal, including boosting staff numbers and increasing its production load to serve the American public through the holidays.

Throughout the year, USPS prepares for the high-volume holiday season, and “we are well prepared and ready to deliver for the American public,” Postmaster General David Steiner said.
