Working people around the world are experiencing attacks on our jobs and the public services we rely on every day.

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at 7 p.m. ET, APWU President Mark Dimondstein is hosting a “Solidarity Call” webinar for our members to hear more about the important fights taking place in the United States and around the world, how those fights affect postal workers, and what actions we can take to support our union family in struggle.

During the webinar, Dimondstein and an international panel of labor leaders will speak about their particular struggles, and what APWU members and the public can do to help them succeed in their fights for justice.

Panelists on the call with Mark include:

  • Jan Simpson, president of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), who will speak about the ongoing postal strike in Canada and their efforts to defeats the government’s attempt to slash jobs and services at Canada Post.
  • Matt Biggs, president of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Employees (IFPTE), who will talk about the U.S. government shutdown, its effects on federal workers, and the public.
  • Imad Temiza, secretary of the Palestine Postal Workers Union (PPWU), who will call for international solidarity with Palestinian workers and highlight the challenges facing postal workers there.
  • A guest from Starbucks Workers United (SBWU), who will provide updates on contract negotiations and their Nov. 1 Day of Action.

Now is the time to stand together – Register for the Solidarity Call and join us on Wednesday to see how you can support our union family in these fights. While we are separated by distance, our struggle remains the same.
