Though temperatures are cooling down, post offices and workers in Brunswick County are continuing to feel the heat of rapid growth.

U.S. Postal Service locations in Leland and Winnabow are working out of a tent attached to their buildings as the area continues to grow with residents.

Less than 10 USPS offices serve Brunswick County’s 19 municipalities, according to the U.S. Postal Service website. Postal offices are located in Ash, Bolivia, Leland, Longwood, Ocean Isle Beach, Southport, Supply and Winnabow.

While the facilities are scattered across Brunswick County, some offices are experiencing long-term growing pains as residential growth crowds around them.
