EAST LONGMEADOW — A Westfield resident accused of driving drunk in his mail truck was toting a cooler with vodka and various drink mixers when he wreaked havoc in the center of East Longmeadow on Tuesday morning, according to local police.

Robert Y. O’Sullivan, 54, has been held on $10,000 cash bail. A pedestrian he reportedly struck is in stable condition after he was hit by the U.S. Postal Service truck. The pedestrian — who suffered head injuries — underwent surgery at Baystate Medical Center and remains in the hospital, police said.
