US Postal Service truck catches fire in south Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A mail delivery truck for the U.S. Postal Service caught on fire in a south Charlotte neighborhood on Saturday morning.

It happened in on Reniston Drive in the Cameron Wood area.

WCNC Charlotte’s crew at the scene saw a heavily burnt mail truck and firefighters responding. The fire damage appeared to be mostly in the front cabin.

Several damaged envelopes and packages were on the ground near the destroyed truck.
