Officials identify delivery driver killed after being crushed by vehicle near Huntsville, UT

HUNTSVILLE, Weber County — A delivery driver has died after being pinned between her car and a garage, according to the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.

The call came in just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday: A 54-year-old delivery woman working in Ogden Valley, northeast of Huntsville, had been pinned to a building by her car, Weber County Sheriff’s Lt. Sean Endsley told KSL. A bystander was able to move the vehicle and unpin the woman from between the car and the residence.

A deputy arrived to find the woman unconscious and performed CPR until medical responders arrived. The woman, identified Tuesday afternoon as Amy Tennant, was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries the following day, according to Endsley.

Tennant worked for a third-party company contracting with the Postal Service and was using her own vehicle, Endsley said. Investigators are still trying to understand what happened to cause the fatal injuries, but “right now all the evidence points to some sort of accident,” he said.
