Pasco County postal worker’s friendship goes viral on TikTok

HOLIDAY, Fla. (WFLA) — A local postal worker is delivering more than mail. Her friendship is changing the life of a child on her route and going viral on the internet.

Jamesha Keaton said in most cases she’ll drive by, drop the mail in the box, and she’s gone. However, there’s one house on her route in Holiday where someone is always waiting out by the mailbox.

The pair formed a fast friendship.

“Every day I used to pass by, and he used to wait by the mailbox and ask me if he had any packages,” she explained.

Soon Keaton started recording their interactions and posting the videos to Tik Tok. Eventually, one of their conversations went viral on the social media platform.

Followers who watched the interaction on Keaton’s Tik Tok page, @meshababieee, raised money to pay for the motorbike Jayden mentioned during their conversation. The 11-year-old loves the bike but said his bond with Keaton is more important.

“I feel about her that she’s nice,” Jayden said.

Keaton treasures the friendship they’ve created.

“It just showed me that I’m doing something,” She describes “Besides the ‘likes’, as long as he’s happy, I’m happy and that’s what makes my day.”
