USPS Announces Final Decision to Relocate Pensacola, FL Downtown Station Post Office Retail Services

PENSACOLA, FL — Following a 30-day period inviting community feedback and U.S. Postal Service review of all public feedback, the Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate retail services from 101 Palafox Pl., Pensacola, FL 32502 to a new, yet-to-be determined location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing Post Office location. The relocation is being considered because of non-renewal of the lease at the current facility.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were provided to our customers at the Downtown Station Post Office. The Postal Service plans to continue to offer services at the East Hill Station Post Office located at 3001 N. Davis Hwy., Pensacola, FL 32503 location until the new facility is open and operating as a Post Office.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Pensacola, FL community, the USPS properly considered community input, and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives.
