$100K reward offered for arrest of ex-CT USPS employee accused of stealing mail, forging checks

A former postal employee in Stamford is being sought by authorities after a federal grand jury returned a 10-count indictment against her in connection with a scheme involving forged checks.

A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service for information leading to the arrest and conviction of 34-year-old Kierra Blount of Stamford, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut.

A grand jury returned an indictment against Blount on March 26, federal officials said. The indictment was unsealed on Wednesday.

According to federal officials, Blount is accused of stealing mail and obtaining stolen mail to get access to checks. Authorities allege she did this while “at times” being employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Stamford.
