KENSINGTON, Md. (7News) — A woman is dead after a U.S. Postal mail truck struck her in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Wednesday morning, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
According to MCPD, officers responded to the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Plyers Mill Road in Kensington for a report of a fatal pedestrian collision.
The woman struck was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
It’s an active investigation, and Connecticut Avenue remains closed as Plyers Mill Road.
