The Postal Service has begun a pilot program to further enhance the organization’s compliance with the Providing Urgent Maternal Protections for Nursing Mothers Act.

The delays have prompted three Boston city councilors to call for an emergency hearing on the matter. “Knowing where we are in election season, not having a reliable postal system at this specific juncture is critically important,” said Sharon Durkan, district counselor for Mission Hill, who’s a part of the group requesting the hearing.

Using the COVIDTests.gov website, US households will soon again be able to order four free at-home COVID test kits. The government has said the tests will be available for order “at the end of September 2024,” but there’s no indication of an official launch date yet.
