16 local letter carriers honored with ‘Million Mile Club’ plaques

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — More than a dozen local letter carriers were honored for their long careers and outstanding safety records Wednesday morning in Milford.

The Milford Postmaster handed out plaques to 16 employees who are now officially in the “Million Mile Club.”

After the mail is sorted and the couriers hit the road, they rack up a lot of miles in the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

“Most routes, anywhere from 500-600 stops,” letter carrier and new club member Anthony Constantinople explained. “That’s 500-600 deliveries we make a day. Everyone comes with challenges.”
