USPS celebrates the sights and sites along the highway

The Postal Service has released a video about its Route 66 stamps.

The eight Forever stamps celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic highway that ran across eight states from Chicago in Illinois to Santa Monica in California.

The nearly 4-minute video shows recent and archival footage of places along Route 66, including neon signs and stretches of open road.

The video also spotlights the eight locations the images used on the stamps are located in: Auburn, IL; Lebanon, MO; Galena, KS; Tulsa, OK; Shamrock, TX; Grants, NM; Yucca, AZ; and Beverly Hills, CA.
