ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — If you’re missing a package, it may be because of a June 30 crash in Albuquerque involving a United States Postal Service truck.
According to the USPS, the contractor-operated box truck caught fire on Interstate 25, near Avenida Cesar Chavez. The truck was carrying mail from Belen/Los Lunas/Peralta area. However, the mail and packages inside the vehicle was destroyed.
If you believe your mail may have been in that truck, USPS recommends you contact your local post office for help. You can also visit usps.com/claims for information on filing claims for insured items. There, you can also request certain refunds.
