USPS truck collides with utility pole in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Commuters traveling through the eastern Raleigh corridor Friday morning were asked to avoid a section of Sunnybrook Road following a collision.

Just after 3 a.m., Raleigh police said a USPS truck driver struck a utility pole along the road which connects New Bern Avenue and Poole Road. Sunnybrook Road between Falstaff Road and Holston Lane was closed while repair work was conducted.

That stretch of road opened a little more than 10 hours later, just before 2 p.m., according to Raleigh police.
