USPS ramps up ‘daily monitoring’ and enforces new phone policy after four people died at same location

THE Postal Service has ramped up safety measures including a new phone policy after the deaths of four employees.

All four worker deaths sinze 2024 occurred at the same processing center, triggering calls from the postal union for action, including a safety review of the site.

A number of changes have been outlined for Atlanta Regional Processing and Distribution Center in Palmetto.

The center, which has been in operation for two years, will carry out more extensive CPR training across its workforce, and it will appoint three safety captains for the site.
