USPS OIG – Ohio 2 District: Delivery Operations

During the week of September 9, 2024, we performed a self-initiated audit at the Cincinnati Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) and Network Distribution Center (NDC) and three delivery units serviced by the P&DC and NDC. The delivery units included the Corryville Station, Fairfield Branch, and Mid City Carrier Annex in Cincinnati, OH.

We issued individual reports for the three delivery units and another one for issues we identified at the P&DC and NDC. We will issue an additional report summarizing the results of our audits at all three delivery units with specific recommendations for management to address.

The audit team identified deficiencies in all five areas we reviewed affecting mail delivery and property conditions at the three delivery units. We also identified issues at the Fairfield Branch related to the sortation of packages for dispatch to the P&DC and contractor carrier badges.
