Officer Announcement – Gary C. Reblin Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President

Effective immediately Gary C. Reblin has been selected to the position of Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President.In this role, Gary oversees Engineering Systems, Applied Engineering and the Headquarters Maintenance Operations organizations.

He is responsible for implementing our strategic initiative to create a rationalized network of integrated mail and package processing facilities. His team will continue to provide each new or redesigned facility with standardized floor plans, operating plans and state-of-the-art processing and material handling equipment and deployed new technologies to evolve the retail experience to meet changing customer needs.Gary brings a wealth of leadership and experience to this role.

Prior to this appointment, Gary led the Applied Engineering function which is responsible for the planning and design efforts associated with transforming the Postal Service’s mail processing and retail and delivery networks.

Throughout his tenure, Gary has served in several vice president positions-including Vice President, Innovative Business Technology, Vice President, Product Innovation; Vice President, Domestic Products; Vice President, Shipping Services; and Vice President, Expedited Shipping.He began his postal career in 1992 and led many successful product and service innovation projects for the Postal Service, including the successful development and launch of Informed Delivery, and led efforts to create the Intelligent Mail barcode.

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University. He is a two-time recipient of the Postmaster General Award, and a recipient of the Board of Governors and Government Innovation Award for his work in innovations and new product development.

Officer Announcements – Linda M. Malone VP Applied Engineering – Amit Cholkar VP Engineering Systems

Effective immediately Linda M. Malone has been selected to the position of Vice President, Applied Engineering and Amit Cholkar has been selected to the position of Vice President, Engineering SystemsLinda Malone drives strategy, design, implementation, and activation efforts to transform mail processing, retail, and delivery networks with next generation technologies and sortation equipment.

She also oversees the development and enhancement of United States Postal Service(USPS) products and services to increase revenue and improve the customer experience to maintain a competitive advantage.

Most recently, Linda has served as Vice President, Engineering Systems, where she was responsible for the strategic planning of technology initiatives including the acquisition, development, deployment, testing, and integration of new technology and software to support mailprocessing, material handling, and delivery operations.

In 2021, she helped spearhead the COVIDTest Kit Fulfillment Center initiative by creating the standard work for mail processing and takt times to ensure timely and efficient processing.

Amit Cholkar is responsible for driving the strategic planning of technology initiatives to support mail, package processing and material handlings systems – including the acquisition, development, deployment, testing and integration of new technology and software. He also directs the evaluation and quality assurance of new technology systems to increase operational efficiency and meet organizational goals.

Most recently, Amit has served as the Senior Director of Technology Development & Applications within the Engineering Systems organization, where his team was responsible for design and development of next generation packages, mail, material handling and scanning solutions for processing and delivery operations, developing advanced recognition systems for processing equipment and providing lifecycle support for the 18-billion-dollar processing and delivery infrastructure.
