Nearly three dozen states could experience disruptions to mail delivery services this weekend and early next week as a major winter storm is set to slam the country.
A United States Postal Service (USPS) spokesperson told Newsweek that incoming winter storms will likely affect mail deliveries. The announcement comes as dozens of schools have already cancelled classes across the nation on Friday as extremely cold temperatures descend from the north. Widespread winter weather alerts and warnings have been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS), impacting millions of Americans as heavy snow, ice, and dangerous cold is set to hit much of the U.S. this weekend.
As of the most recent update from the USPS, which was made on January 21, there are two winter systems affecting delivery.
