USPS mail thefts and robberies – 02/28/24

People who live in one Cleveland neighborhood are fed up with a crime that has become all too common.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – John Calvin Davis, III, 27, of Charlotte, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Susan C. Rodriguez today and pleaded guilty to wire fraud for executing a scheme involving stolen checks, announced Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for a string of mail thefts spanning several months. Authorities identified the suspect as 41-year-old Eliud Cavazos Jr. from San Antonio.
