USPS is warning Americans about mystery packages coming to their doorstep

Prepare to have your defenses up, because if a mystery package comes to your doorstep, there’s a possibility your personal information has been exposed.

The U.S. Postal Service is warning Americans about a scam known as the “brushing” scam, where it might be perceived as a harmless delivery – such as a keychain, socks, or a random kitchen gadget – but it is often a red flag that cybercriminals have gotten ahold of your name and address.

According to experts, what’s even worse is the fact that these tricks could be the beginning of a much larger issue, which is an attempt to exploit your identity or financial accounts.
