USPS delivery vehicle stolen in New Orleans robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A postal worker was robbed of his delivery vehicle in New Orleans on Mon., Dec. 16.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 8400 block of Forshey Street. The suspect reportedly stole the USPS delivery vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle was found a few blocks away. The postal worker appeared to be uninjured when he retrieved his vehicle.

The NOPD has not confirmed whether the suspect stole any mail or packages.
