SPOKANE, Wash. — Wildfires affecting the Spokane area are disrupting mail and package delivery services, according to the U.S. Postal Service.
USPS officials say their top priority is the safety and security of employees while working to restore service and deliver mail and packages to customers as conditions allow.
Postal Service operations teams are working to resume normal services where it is safe to do so. Officials say full restoration of service in some impacted areas may take additional time as wildfire conditions continue.
Residents who have been displaced or whose homes are affected by wildfire impacts can submit an official Change of Address Order to forward mail and packages. Customers can complete the process online through USPS or submit PS Form 3575 at any Post Office.
Customers can check for the latest updates on affected areas and service disruptions through USPS Service Alerts or by calling 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777).
USPS officials thanked customers for their patience and understanding while crews work to maintain service while prioritizing safety.
