Ukraines’s national postal service and USPS Sign Agreement to Enhance Delivery and Tariffs

Ukrposhta and the United States Postal Service (USPS) have signed an agreement that opens new opportunities for cooperation, including reducing delivery times and implementing favorable rates for customers. This was announced on June 24 by Ukrposhta’s CEO, Ihor Smilianskyi, summarizing the results of his visit to the United States.

Preparation for the agreement took more than two years. Although the details remain confidential, Smilianskyi outlined the key areas of collaboration.

In particular, plans include launching delivery through four airports: Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and New York, which will significantly speed up shipments to the US.

Additionally, the agreement provides for improved rates on heavier parcels. Currently, there is a special offer for light Prime parcels, which will soon be extended to parcels weighing up to 5 kg. The introduction of new rates is planned between October 1, 2025, and January 1, 2026.

The USPS team also promised to support the launch of direct delivery to Ukraine for platforms like Amazon, which will be an important step in developing exports.
