The holidays are right around the corner and neighbors surrounding Indianapolis’ new United States Postal Service Regional Processing and Distribution Centers have noticed some of Santa’s helpers have arrived … and they need a lot of roadway.
Semi-trucks full of packages and mail began piling up along Brookville Road waiting to enter the distribution center, leading to major traffic issues some worry are dangerous.
“Trucks as far as the eye can see on Brookville today. Anybody know what’s up,” Jason Bailey posted on Facebook asking about the large line of semi-trucks.
The Postal Service is dealing with one of its busiest seasons of the year and that means a lot of mail being moved, according to Susan Wright, the USPS’s regional communication specialist.
