Tree falls on unoccupied USPS vehicle in Newington

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A tree fell and landed on power lines and a USPS vehicle Friday morning, according to the Newington Fire Department.

The tree fell in the area of Hillside Street and Homecrest Street.

As of 1:30 p.m., the incident is ongoing, according to the fire department.

Officials advised the public to avoid the area.
