The Postal Service will discontinue the temporary group set up to open sorting and delivery centers — or S&DCs — on Sept. 5.
The S&DC launch team was established in 2023 and helped set up 169 centers across the nation.
The Chief Retail and Delivery Office will oversee planning and execution for future S&DCs.
