Senators Want Social Security Fairness Act Implemented ‘Immediately’

The Social Security Fairness Act should be implemented “immediately” according to a Feb. 6 letter from 28 senators to the acting commissioner of the Social Security Administration. The act, which provides full Social Security benefits for 3.2 million U.S. public service workers and their spouses, will take about a year to go into effect, according to the SSA.
