Postmaster General Steiner discusses reforms

In my role as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, I had the opportunity to meet with Postmaster General David Steiner last Friday.

We discussed his plans to strengthen and modernize the U.S. Postal Service to ensure it continues serving Americans reliably in the years ahead. From new technology to operational reforms, our conversation covered important steps being taken to improve efficiency and customer service.

The Postal Service is essential to our communities, and it is vital that we maintain its stability and effectiveness. I look forward to working closely with Postmaster General Steiner in improving the Postal Service.
